Back in spring, when we set out on the “Round the Island” adventure we set our goal to create Hong Kong’s first pollution map. 9 months later, having recorded 163 trash hotspots and having taken 51 water measurements – we finally present all the findings on: www.pollutionmaphk.com On this website you can find a map of Hong Kong Island with photos of the trash sites, downloadable data sets of the bio and physical water quality parameter and soon also the research report from the Open University of Hong Kong. We want to appeal to all hikers, walkers, trailrunners, climber and outdoor enthusiasts to take a look and if you pass by one of the spots – to help us clean Hong Kong!
